Temporary CLOSURE of Ipswich Mosque to the public due to coronavirus pandemic.
In view of the Tier 4 restrictions and the high rise of infections in our community we have taken the difficult decision to suspend public access including classes, all prayers and Jummah (Friday prayer).
The trustees regretfully announce that the Mosque will be closed from Tuesday 29th December 2020 until further notice. We will continue to broadcast the ADHAN, In Shah Allah. We will keep the situation under constant review, and ensure our congregation is informed via the Adhan radio and our website and social media.
We are putting measures in place so that community can get in touch with the Mosque and we’re looking at ways the Mosque can give support to the vulnerable in our community. We are not alone in taking this action to keep our community and congregation safe. The whole country is united and others mosques have closed or are in the process of closing for the safety and well-being of the community.
May Allah SWT help us all in this time of trial, we should turn to Him in increased devotion through prayer, dua and reading Qur’an.
There will be no online classes
From Monday 21st December to 3rd January 2021
Classes will resume from Monday 4th January 2021
